You got on
At my stop
Sydenham
And sat
To my left.
Three women
Sat opposite
To me and you
I hardly noticed them.
It was you
I surreptitiously
Looked at.
Though I doubt
We had anything in common
You held my interest
More than they ever could.
For although I know
You would never want
To jump into bed with me
I know I would
If I could with you.
