"Rude Phone Call"

Sainsburys Crayford
In the news
Tom, Hyacinth and Harry
Expressing their views.
A checkout woman threw a strop
Wouldn't let a customer
Buy her own shop.
The woman had a mobile
Glued to her ear
Was told customer policy
Not to serve you here.
Seems most of the country
Agree it's a good shout
Serves her right
The (must be a) chavvy lout!
Only snag was....
It's NOT policy at all
The woman on the till
Set herself for a fall.
Whilst it costs nothing to be polite
Common courtesy is not yours by right.
Take Sainsburys Local, down The Cut
As a little case in point
I've just queued for my Lottery in that joint
I realise it's all luck of the draw
And only want two lucky dips as I'm so poor
The man before must be rather rich
Thirty five quids worth on plastic without a hitch
Given his wad of tickets he get wished good luck
When I'm handed mine-not a word, couldn't give a fuck!
No good wishes for my random pick
I didn't say anything either
But what a prick!
If Sainsburys staff want civility
As we all shop
Do the same to us and
We won't throw a strop!

( A woman made the news when she was refused service at a checkout in Sainsburys by the checkout worker, as she was on her mobile phone, and was told it was 'policy' not ro serve anyone on the phone. The woman checked at the customer care desk, and was told this was not true. She received an apology and some vouchers, but the majority of people on radio phone ins, & the like, were cheered by the fact she was refused service, for being so rude as to be on her phone)
